It is a matter of tracing a real “emotional map” contained in pages of great beauty, capable of transmitting atmospheres, perfumes, colors and flavors recalling the magic of those who have been there and making other people dream of going there. It’s an activity for everyone: beginners, artists and for all those who have passions and are motivated by the desire to compare themeselves to a new experience that goes simply beyond admiring the places. You can create your own “travel notebook” by painting with me glimps of the village that we can discover together and put on paper all your emotions as you were living in a small enchanted world.

An experience not to be missed for those staying at Petralia Soprana is the guided tour “At Marquese Pottino of Echifaldo House”. The guided tours inside the Palace, located right in the historic center of the medieval village of Petralia Soprana ,that dates back to the second half of the 19th century, are much more than cultural itineraries, but real convivial and sensory experiences. The path winds through the rooms of the main floor of the ancient historical residence which, with its historical and architectural heritage, can be assumed as emblem of the Sicilian aristocratic customs and traditions in vogue in the Madonie: a journey back in time, to discover the suggestions linked to the experience of rural villages between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Passing through the door of the Palace, visitors are welcomed by the volunteers of the Itimed association and conducted through the rooms, in which the story and the magnificence of the family can be noticed; while enjoying a glass of wine and fine local biscuits, the participants will travel back in time and find themselves carried away to distant places, that are reproduced in a miniature representation.

You will learn some typical Sicilian recipes cooking with me: we will choose together the seasonal ingredients and prepare a special dish to enjoy with your eyes and your sense of taste.

Silence and the mountains create the ideal conditions for meditation and relax. Scenery and lights direct your glance towards that inner search that reconnects you with the outside world. It is possible to organize yoga retreats conducted by experts or to share simple moments of relax at the end of the day with a special Greeting to the Sun.

Here with my guests a new trend was born , which is to crochet sitting comfortably in an armchair, sipping coffee and relaxing. Here, you can lose yourself in the peace and quiet that is typical of the Madonite landscape.
A pastime in line with the “slow and relational” philosophy of the B & B, conceptually far away from the rushed tourism “hit and run”: instead we will be sitting on the sofa or armchair in front of the cosy fireplace, we will crochet, sipping an aromatic hot tea accompanied by typical cinnamon biscuits.

The ancient house is situated in the historic center of the village facing the bell tower of the mother-church, it is provided with 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 living room and 1 kitchen with sofa bed.

Lovely house in the historic center a stone’s throw from “The house of Petralia’s painter” consisting of 2 independent apartments: 1 with double bedroom, bathroom, living room with kitchenette and 1 with double bedroom, small room with sofa bed, bathroom, living room-kitchen.

The Ro’s chalet
Wonderful wooden chalet in Piano Battaglia, that is a ski resort about 15 km. from Petralia Soprana, with 1 double bedroom, 2 bedrooms with bunk beds, 1 bathroom,1 large living room with kitchen, and a large terrace with view on the valley.

The structure is bikefriendly: if you are a traveler who loves cycling it is possible to admit their bikes in special spaces in front of the rooms or in the cellar where there is also a mini workshop with equipment for repairs. If you wish to rent one or more bikes, either normal or pedal assisted mountain bikes, I will offer you various options for choosing from a renter friend. And if you want to travel light, ask and I’ll take your luggage to your destination.
